I'm at it again. My hands will not be leaving the keyboard for the next month. It's November, which means NaNoWriMo, which means a month of literary abandon, which means, essentially, 1300-1500 words a day to stay on track. But fear not! THIS year, I have three things on my side:

1. A refined idea of what I'm working on, thought about all year, started last year and given the restart because I realised I was going nowhere.
2. Time. Part A: I knew about NaNoWriMo in Australia more than ONE DAY in advance. I actually went to the Brisbane kick-off party... granted it was after everything had finished and it was just pure socialising for maybe an hour... but still. At least I found the place, plus I met in person an online writer friend whom I've known for like a year and a half, maybe even two, first on myspace then on facebook and a writer's forum (not sure which I found her on first). Part B: I also have the added bonus of ALL OF NOVEMBER to work on it this year, unlike last year when I had only the last two weeks of the month. Pardon the crude vernacular, but... that sucked balls.

PS: I won the first thing I think I've ever won - a bar voucher at the newish karaoke place on the Thursday before Halloween.
